Klutina River,Glennallen, Alaska

We arrived yesterday to try our luck at salmon fishing. As you can see we caught a nice one, the first for the whole camp so far this year. They are just coming in. The last day at Tangle Lake we went for a hike. We saw a moose with a new baby and the moose with twins, and two caribou. We had a nice lunch on the mountain top, fished, and returned on the boat. On the boat I caught an arctic char and it was great. Tonight we are having salmon for supper. The campfires are cozy with all of our new friends. Birdie got out his guitar and sang some songs. We stocked up on Andy's recipe (Jim Beam) in anchorage at the base. We have seen porcupine, otter, beaver, and all kinds of birds. The bald eagles are prevalant here and are big. We are along the river just 20 ft from the banks of the swift water. It is glacier fed, so is kinda frosty green and of course cold.
